I am having some engine work done on my GT40 in England. The crew working on it is having trouble sourcing rod and main bearings. It is a 302 with the crankshaft having XW7647 on it. The rod bearing shells read 967FM and C50E-4211A.B. the mains have 8A.67G and C50E-6333A.B.

Does anyone have any idea where to find these?

Try Gelscoe (http://www.gelscoemotorsport.com) They do terrific work on real and continuation GT40s. If they don't have what you need, they can probably point you in the right direction.

I know you're in the UK but if you can't find anyone there, try:

1. Dennis Olthoff at Olthoff Racing http://www.olthoffracing.com/

2. George at http://www.gessford.com/

You might also check around the Cobra site at www.clubcobra.com as there are a bunch of other engine builders there.

Revolve might know. http://www.revolve.co.uk/ I know they've worked on both of Ford UK GT40's.

Thanks. Bearings found this morning, now we can proceed. Revolve has been very helpful!
