Guys, please let me know if anyone is already ahead of us on this. I have a good friend that is a expert on guages/electronics, our first problem was we didn't know how to get into the inside of these guages without bending the trim ring. I just received this email below from Scott so he is making some progress. His remark about the needle is because my Tach needle fell off of the post...the tach is fine. I think I'm the only one this has happened to?
Good news on the GT guage repair. I spent some time with a specialist tonight and we managed to get into the gauge without damaging the decorative trim ring. Now that we have this part figured out, I can at least attach needles that fall off so you can tell guys on the forum that I can save them allot of money by repairing that defect.
Next will be a method to repair the electronics on the gauges that are defective from that aspect. This may take some doing if the problem isn't visibly obvious. More on that later.
