I had the opportunity to spend time with my wife’s neighbor in her Casket Art Warehouse in Minneapolis tonight. George is a very successful jewelry who learned how to work with metal while working at Kar Kraft in the 60’s on the Ford GT prototypes. He drove both cars tonight with fellow artist and he enjoyed discussing in detail each cars mechanical differences and how it compares to GT/108. He had fun telling stories about the different metals, processes, and parts he used in his time there. George is the original owner of GT/108. He had interesting stories about the life of the different prototypes and who bought them and who drove them. I should have had my phone on record to hear all of the history. I suggested if he wanted to buy a 05/06 that this forum is the best place to find one. His car will go up for auction tomorrow

DanM - actually P/108 will be auctioned by RM Sotheby's in Monterey Saturday August 17 (Lot 252). I will be there. It was sold previously in 2014 at auction by RM Sotheby's for $6.93M. It is expected to sell for $7-9M next weekend. If it only sells for $7M - 10% then the current owner will lose money.

PS Also in Monterey next week at Mecum's the Nardo GT will be auctioned on Saturday. Russo & Steele the same day will be auctioning one of Camilo's previous GTs. Bonham's has '06 & '17 Heritages selling (it's at The Quail Friday so I'll be there since my GT is in the show). Lot's of other GTs there. I won't be able to see them all.
