Frozen Ford GT

Every year, my hometown of Plymouth, MI puts on the Plymouth Ice Festival a huge collection of ice sculptures. Ford is a big sponsor so they always have some kind of cool Ford-themed sculpture and for the 2nd year in a row, they did a GT - this time the race car! It's probably about 8 feet long by 3 feet wide. The proportions aren't quite right, but considering this was carved from a solid block of ice buy a guy with a chainsaw, it's pretty awesome.

When I was in college in Edmonton in the late 60s, the city had an event called Mukluk Mardi Gras which included an ice castle/sculpture contest. We engineers had an entry and could have used whoever did this, ours was really primitive in comparison.

Oh, and apparently a light is embedded in the bottom of it so that at night, they can turn on the lights and it shines through the sculpture. No pictures of that, though.
