Maybe some day down the road it will be of some utility... You can filter it by color, interior, wheels, stripes, no stripes, etc. Whatever you like so you can compare and contrast or just see all the crazy stuff people are coming up with...

Wow! I just went through the registry! A lot of work but ah so cool. Thanks DBK!

When there back a couple weeks ago, there was a commemorative banner on the wall, signifying 5 cars a week. I asked our tour guide when that milestone was achieved, and he couldn't remember exactly, but said it was a "couple of months ago". So they are churning them out! Its funny, I think we start to think that 100% of anything GT is here, but the reality is we probably only have 25% of all the GT's participating here (could even be lower)

David (aka Mr WeatherTech) is a super guy. Always approachable and loves to talk cars. He hangs out at Road America often.

Gentlemen,

Reading this forum certainly gives one a slightly warped sense of perspective. Before I received my NFGT I read every new post here every day and it made me feel like I was the only guy WHO DIDN’T HAVE ONE!! I know it’s still frustrating for members desiring a future allocation. But the reality is that these will always be very rare and special cars. Now at full production capacity we are still talking about “one” handcrafted street legal homologation special Ford GT finished every weekday. Just 5 a week. Perhaps “churning them out” isn’t quite as accurate as “on target”. The new GT has made a huge impact but to this day fewer than 175 people own one. And Andy is right, most GT owners are not active here which is mind blowing to me. How could somebody own one and NOT participate here?!?

Every day I either drive or admire the matched yellow & black GT’s in my garage and still have trouble believing it’s real. Cheers.

Chip

Rob Kauffman and the special 2 at Rolex 24 this weekend:

My son noted that the #2 on the side of the car looked different and said that it looked custom. Is this the case? (We were at the Rolex 24)

Yes it is custom, the 2 on this car matches the font from the 1966 Le mans winner

I do not understand either !!!

Nevertheless, the US Forum is exceptional in all points : Documentation, competence, reactivity, very good behavior, etc ....

I have the same problem with the little European Ford GT Owners Club that I animate.
My only volunteer ambition, is to create bonds of friendship between the owners and make them meet on the European Continent.
*
Despite considerable energy expenditure, the owners do not communicate much.
I thought we could not have a Ford GT without overflowing enthusiasm, and without wanting to share it.
Like you, I note and I regret that this is not always the case.

Best regards from France.
