I had the oil changed from the gt at the ford dealer and now the oil pressure gauge is flipping up and down while driving. Driving is normal and pressure never goes under halfway the excursion of the gauge. oil is slightly above max what should i do? relax? worry about the dry sump system, worry about the gauge. anyone any suggestion?

Sounds like a sending unit problem, a search should help.

Relax. Gauge or sending unit problem.

i searched this forum and found only gauge or sensor problems but wanted to be sure that there weren't any known oil pump issues.

9 times out of 10 it is the sender or gauge, but assuming that can lead $$$ repairs. I know one owner that assumed a failed sender, but in fact the pressure was low!

The problem is these OEM gauges are crying "wolf" so many times we all tend to ignore them when they stop working.

Go Speedhut!

There is a forum member called Torrie that is also a Ford parts supplier, he is familiar with the problem and part. I'm sure he will take care of your dilemma.
