Ethanol Warning..must Read

Ethanol Evaporates..My friend has a Porsche that was stored all winter. He blew a hole in a piston. The Porsche Dealer told him his fuel was not high enough octane. The Ethanol Evaporated over the winter contaminating the fuel. Anyone with Ethanol should baby the car, burn that tank of fuel and fill up with fresh gas. Maybe adding an octane booster may be a good idea.

I will write the companies that make the fuel addatives (octane booster) and get an opinion. So much for storing the car with a full tank of gas...

What was the gas ? E10? if he got it at the pump and it is E10 (10% Ethanol or less) it should not happen.

Unless the car is a FFV and is using E85 (i doubt that for a Porsche:biggrin )
