Ford is telling me the reason the car was nosing at 4500 rpm is that the cad. converter was bad and caused the #5 cylinder to misfire. Does this sound reasonable? I won't have the car back until next week. I am hoping this is the problem. Baby has been gone 3 weeks now.

'Can't imagine why a bad CAT would cause only ONE cyl to misfire! HOW would IT know when #5 - and #5 only - was on the ignition stroke?!:shrug
