Down in Detroit at the show the New Ford GT is rotating on the stand.

My friend at the Porsche store calls me to come over and take a look at the first arrival of 3 of these they have coming in:

And over at the Ferrari dealer they just started getting these in for delivery:

You barely even notice the one with the park bench next to the black car because it's so crazy to see the 3 newbies in the bay.

Wild times.

Three 918s AND three LaFerraris? Wow., that's a lot of merchandi$e.

Cool stuff. The new Ford GT looks so much better than the La Ferrari.

I luv the La Ferrari, but the new GT simply out-classes it hands down. The Ford design team delivered an outstanding and evocative vehicle that easily earns the term, 'bleeding edge' in my estimation.

I think they all look very similar. Beautiful, gorgeous, EXOTIC....all the above, however, the models are starting to "merge" into a similar shape with no real identity. I"d take any of the above, however, there is not that much difference in all the designs.

Absolutely. LaFerrari looks garish and unattractive to me now, compared to the new GT. And while I like the 918, it's styling seems a bit bland now, too. Damn fine job, Ford team!

I really like both. I think LaFerrari is pretty much the ultimate overall car, but it does have some seriously funky angles I don't like. But I think the profile is great, and the sound is enough to justify living in a cardboard box under a bridge if you have the opportunity to own one. That and it's already worth about 2x MSRP, so if you need to make a quick million dumping it, that's an option. And then you get a much nicer cardboard box.

Visually they are all stunning. When I have to think about things like this too much then I call it a tie and say "none is better, they are all just different".

Went back today on the Spyder before it went to its owners house (in my trailer...eek).

What. A. Machine.

I mean WOW. That may be the most well executed car I've ever seen. Just incredible build quality. A symphony of futuristic noises as it moves in electric only mode before the IC engine explodes to life. Those of you lucky enough to grab one, I am envious of you. So cool.

MSRP was $994,000! Liquid silver paint was $63,000 alone.

I got to look at Gary Ackerman's real close. It is an awesome looking machine and so well executed. Takes a pretty high place on the "car as art" ranking.

It's difficult to find suitable parking while seeping in one of those cardboard boxes.
