Corvette C6 Z06 Convertible

The November issue of the duPont Registry (pg 134-5) has pictures of Genaddi's latest project, with this statement: "Breakthrough technology from Genaddi Design Group now makes it possible for the new Corvette Z06 to be stronger as a convertible than as a stock coupe." I called Mark who said this car will be at SEMA with a ProCharger Supercharger on the stock 427 making 700 HP. This is the car Chevy said was impossible and would never be built, but it's here while Chevy continues the delay in bringing a 600-650 HP Z06 "Blue Devil" hardtop to market. Jason, it's a totally stock Z06 with the electric top from a C6 Convertible replacing the Z06 hardtop and hatch. It looks just like a C6 Vert, except for the Z06 body and a separate tubular rollbar behind each seat. The body is strengthened to handle more than 700 HP. This upgrade can be made to any C6 Z06 ('06-'08). Check out the pictures in the Nov duPont Registry Magazine.

I guess it's just me, but I think a Z06 should only be in a hardtop. A hardtop gives the Z06 the structural integrity that allows it to perform well in track situations (with proper racing tires).

I'll change my mind the first time a C6R convertible wins LeMans.
