According to the WSJ article dated 9-22-16, "McLaren Technology shares a brand, buildings and shareholders with McLaren Automotive, a small scale manufacturer which sold fewer than 2,000 cars in 2015. The McLaren F1 is a favorite of Apple marketing chief Phil Schiller".

Majority of McLaren is owned by middle-easterners, so I guess it will depend on whether they're in it for the money or fun
