Brembo Racing Brake Kit

The folks at Brembo are considering the possibility of a major brake up-grade for the GT.

Their feeling is that to really improve the system to a level suitable for consistent track use, you really need racing calipers and discs. There are a number of technical differences between the OEM stuff and the Racing stuff. Racing calipers are often six- or eight-piston, have multiple pads, titanium piston inserts, billet aluminum construction and so on. Racing discs are usually two-piece and are directional curved vane.
This kind of set up: a full-blown racing package will cost about $10,000 to $12,000 for four calipers, four discs and all the custom hats and brackets needed.

The kit may or may not require an aftermarket race rims. Other issues to take into consideration are that the brakes could be noisy in street driving, even using a mild friction material. The discs have a tendency to rattle and the calipers aren’t designed with noise countermeasures in mind.

Unfortunately they can’t justify developing this kit unless there are minimum of ten (10) “teams” or customers willing to buy the kit.
So here is the question:
How many of you would be interested in this kind of up-grade?

The Stillen kit offers a caliper that is smaller hydraulically than the stock GT unit, the pad is exactly the same size and the disc is only 2% larger.

Why would anyone buy this, independent of the price?
