Bear attack 2009

Apparently a Bear attacked this Super Cub while it was parked in a remote area in AK. The pilot had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the Bear smelled a fish smell. The pilot had two new tires, three cases of Duct Tape (never leave home without it, the greatest stuff) and several rolls of cellophane delivered to repair the Cub so he could fly it home for airworthy repair.

See pictures attached, gotta love that Duct Tape !

Amazing story. Would not have believed it without the great pictures.

Wow, I guess there is another reason. I like aluminum airplanes.

You got to love those Alaska pilots, "yea, yea just go get some duct tape and cellofane yea that will work"

Hell we only have to fly over those 10k foot mountains.

:eek

...just one more example of why it's called "200 m.p.h. tape"!

(Ya, I know. The P.C. will only do somewhere around 140!!! :wink)

Question - Does it appear that our industrious pilot also installed a gun rack/case out side the plane on the left strut? "Gun Ship"
