Love the midyear Vette's. 427, is that a "real deal" L-88? Of the 20 original L-88's, only about a 100 survive! I have a 427/435 tripower '67 Coupe. Nice photos, thanks for posting. AC

How cool is that! An L-88, and a roadster to boot!
I remember seeing an ad in the winter of '77, Tradin' Times, " L-88 Coupe, needs work ,etc etc, $5500." Went to look at it (I was 17 and didn't have 2 nickels to rub together, but was hoping my old man would fall for it-he didn't). Owner wasn't kiddin'. It needed a lot of work. Paint job looked like it got into an argument with a porcupine and lost. Not much was left of the L-88, but I do remember it had an intact air cleaner, and radio delete interior.

A lot of tho L88's back then were raced hard and put away wet. They all needed a lot of work.
I couldn't find any racing history on mine, so maybe that's why mine still had the original engine in one piece.
