I saw this and did a double take. Four door FordGT? Maybe. Only in Australia and limited to 400 cars..... 5.4 32v 400hp too!

They make some powerful cars down there, but that car would flop here, just like the Monaro/GTO. Too bland. Now, if they could make a powerful version of that new Mondeo...

I kicked around a 220hp Turbo Focus ST last weekend and that thing was an absolute blast. That car can't get to the U.S soon enough. Hopefully in a version comparable to the 300ish hp RS version coming out this year. Unfortunately that's about 3 years away.

That's a Euro car Frank. I think it came from Germany.

The C1 platform Focus is supposed to be in the U.S sometime in the next 2-3 years (supposedly).

As far as I know, the Falcon is gonna remain an Aussie only deal.

Interesting how that El Camino body style has persevered in Australia.

Also interesting how Ford runs with that rather cool looking trapezoidal lower grill element everywhere in the world but the U.S. I don't quite get the fervent loyalty to this tri-bar bit, which obviously hasn't paid off.

Which front end design came first - Ford's or Honda's Civic?

They almost look interchangeable.

The Ford look is pretty old. Cars started looking like that back with the Ka in the mid 1990s.

Agreed. The triple bar grill just does not convey sportiness...

Don't you mean "Ranchero body style?" :biggrin
