1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.

2. You have to believe businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

3.You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.

4. You have to believe there was no art before Federal funding.

5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.

6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach fourth graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but idiot activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

11. You have to believe that Mel Gibson spent $25 million of his own money to make The Passion of the Christ for financial gain only.

12. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the constitution.

13. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

14.You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, and A.G. Bell.

15. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

16. You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.

17. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

18. You believe that conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.

19.You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and beastiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.

20. You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese Government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.

21. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

22. You have to believe that it's okay to give Federal workers off on Christmas Day but it's not okay to say "Merry Christmas."

ARE YOU READY TO VOTE, NOW?

Gay, Liberal, Anti-gun? the Democrats want you.:ack

You know, Tony, you just HAVE TO develope a more "tolerant" position on views other than those held by yourself - views other than your own correct ones. You must learn to "embrace" deviant - uh - DIVERSE opinions and give group hugs to these people. You must develope and foster "understanding" and "acceptance" so you can be a better person. In otherwords, you must develope "Joy-joy feelings" (Stallone movie line. Sorry!) for ALL political viewpoints and lifestyles - and make judgments regarding none.

Okay?

Thank you now!

Outstanding.

There is however, one big advantage to being a liberal socialist. And that is, if you're not getting enough liberal socialism here in the United States, there are dozens of places you can go and get it up to your eyeballs. Canada would certainly give you an additional dose. Not enough there, hey, head off to France and that would probably do it for you. But if you just can't get enough, you can go whole hog in Cuba or North Korea. To each according to his needs and from each according to his abilities or as Hillary likes to say, "We need to get away from this 'on your own society' and move to a 'were all in this together society'. In order to accomplish this were going to have to take some things away from some people."

As a conservative, if, like me, you feel like you're getting too much liberal socialism here in the United States, there is no place else to go. The United States is truly freedom's last stand and every socialist encroachment must be confronted and defeated.

Ignoramus 'R Us.

come on now.......not all of us here are Rebublicans (yet).......both parties have their faults.....and anyone that doesn't beleive that is an ignoramus!

I have always found this statement interesting, "nobody's perfect", or "everybody(thing) has their faults" THEREFORE, no judgments should be made and everybody or everything is approximately equal. Charles Mansen and Mother Teresa both have their faults so who are we to judge. The Yugo and the Honda Civic both have their faults, so they will probably both serve you equally well. In order for any information to be actionable, that information must first pass through two filters. 1. Is it true? 2. Is it relevant? The statement "everybody(thing) has their faults" is true as regards just about anything. That same statement however, as a matter of degree, is also irrelevant as regards just about everything. The political party that openly advocates banning cars like the Ford GT is the Democrat party. I fly my own airplane, love hunting and shooting, send my son to a Catholic school, love 4 wheeling and dirt biking, and I run my own business. It is not the Republican Party that attacks everything that I enjoy and will, if they are successful, put an end to the very types of automobiles that this Forum is dedicated to. It is the Democrat party that is hostile to my entire lifestyle. Freedom is a wonderful thing. It is the natural yearning of all men and it, more than anything else, is the component that has made this the most prosperous nation on earth. Yes, both political parties have their faults, they both seek to restrict my freedoms in too many ways. The Republican Party limits freedom in a few ways, but the Democratic Party wishes to strip me of far more of my wages, property, freedoms, and force me into their collectivist vision. Therefore, I am a conservative Republican, I do not see the two parties as equals, and if that makes me an ignoramus in your view, then so be it.

Welcome to the Republican Party

Many of you may have already heard this one. It's one of my favorites :thumbsup

A young teenage girl was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat but her father was a rather staunch Republican.

One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.

She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying.

He asked, "How is your friend Mary." She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, went to all the parties all the time. Why she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.

Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.

The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and Mary has done nothing".

The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party".

If your from Michigan

:lol
A Japanese doctor says, "Medicine in my country is
so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another,
and have him out looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor says, "That is nothing. We can take a lung out of one
person, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in four weeks."

A British doctor says, "In my country medicine is so advanced that we
can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have
both of them out looking for work in two weeks.

The Canadian doctor, not to be outdone, interjected,
"You guys are way behind. We took a woman with no brains, sent her to
Michigan where she became Governor, and now half the state is out
looking for work."

Refernece to our Democrat Governor Jenifer Granholm

I really hate to get in to any political discussion on the forum (I'd much rather be friends). But I challenge you not to ever vote straight ticket. It means you trust politicians to do what the say they will. Instead, vote for the person whose track record is in harmony with their words.

When I was very young I asked my grandmother if she was a democrat or a republican. She said she didn't vote for parties she voted for people. Then she said how important it was to be independent of groups and their idea. Individual are smart...people are stupid.

In Texas, as with much of the country, we had a huge political shift from R's to D's. Sense the election there has been a lot of Republicans switch to the other party. Do you think these guys have totally changed their political belief system?

I’ve watched a lot of these threads and wonder what good they do. Is it someone’s intention to offend? If not, are you sure everyone else believes the same thing you do? I think there are some good people in the Democratic Party. I believe the same thing about the GOP. Now I just have to figure out which ones they are.

I am an independent…. the swing vote… I always, always decide who wins.

I think you missed on your list.

"Thought Jane Fonda was right to go to vietnam to express her opinion and to protest the "illegal war". .... but now say that you support the troops."

I heard an interview where Hillary said she agreed with Jane Fonda and when the reporter asked a follow up question about the damage it did to US troops she looked mad as if someone had slapped her. Lack of accountability for your actions and how they effect others .... bad juju when it comes to a leader or in this case someone who wants to be.

I think everyone is tense after the last debates. Or at least I know that I am. Looking like another lessor of two evils choice .... that is unless we get Chip on the ballet.

just my two cents.

uhhhh well 37....guess I'm a slow developer!

Chip.....
all I'm trying to say is that its not as black and white as alot of people like to make it seem.....and I get tired of getting lumped in with the jerks you guys make fun of.......I've seen conservative Democrats and liberal Republicans. looking at 22 ways to be a good Democrat kind of bums me out because I don't feel like I relate to most of those things and to assume that I do is very presumtious........it's the partisan politics in this country that are going to stop us from moving forward..I know thats a liberal point of view....and I know I'm young and idealistic...but I feel like my idealistic attitude has gotten me to where I am..whether it has or hasn't........you don't think I love my lifestyle....I had to work hard for what I have and I don't want anyone to take that from me....just like you.....to be honest I've been confused for a long time as to how to vote.....my dad is a repulican from the south....my mom is a democrat from the northeast.....I can see it from both sides...............for whatever thats worth.........

Hey the two party system just is not working so well. I propose the " Car guy party". Chip for President the rest of the cabinet is up to him.

Chip .... state your platform. Got to be better than the sound bytes we've heard out of the other two parties. :biggrin

Is the independent party still around?
