Well, papers signed, order in, acknowledged by Ford. Things are good. Selling my 2010 for a good price, 5800 miles on it, perfect condition, never seen rain.

Mid Nite Blu, had the Deep Indigo Blue ordered, but changed it to Sterling Gray, white stripes. About 8-10 weeks production time.

:biggrin

I'm surprised you were able to find a dealer with an available allocation. They seem like great cars.

Jeff,

We silver tungsten guys stick together, I know we let Ralphie hang with us, not because of his unfortunate choice of a red GT, but because he is a good man! Originally ordered Deep Indigo Blue, but that reminded me of the fact that Mid Nite Blue wears boxers of the same color. That was a enough of a mental shock, so that color choice was 86'ed quickly.

so far as I know I will be there.

Have an excellent relationship with my Ford Dealer, part of the family.

I have a 2013 Shelby that came as a late allocation and my dealer called me up and said the car can be made for you and here within about 30 days...I jumped on it. My 2013 Shelby Convertible in Candy Red/White Stripes with SVT package, Recaro Seats, and car cover kicks butt. Serious exhaust note for a completely stock beast, especially with the top down!!! That 5.8 with the blower is stunning.

Post some images, I went and looked at the Red Candy car, awesome, as was the deep indigo bllue. I decided to keep the colors toned down a little, and stayed with the Sterling Gray. Would love to see the images of the Shelby convertible.

I only have a couple pics from the dealership and they aren't great, but you will get an idea of what it looks like.

I bought the car specifically to have a rag top after I sold my 997.2 Turbo S Cabrio. I wont ever drive the car with the top up and it really is a family cruiser for me. I am a
convertible guy through and through. I don't drive them in the rain:)

Understood, just perhaps thinking from my point of view. That occasional very windy night, but I guess if you are going 100+ , it doesn't matter about the cross wind! :thumbsup

Sad Day

Watched as they came to trailer my 2010 GT500 away. Sold it to a Ford enthusiast in Brisbane, Australia. 5740 miles on it, not a scratch, never in the rain, never beaten, perfect condition. Family member sent across the Pacific. Made me sad today.

It was an excellent automobile, have to make room for its younger brother arriving in 6-8 weeks. 2013 GT500:thumbsup

That is very sad (the "never beaten" part :lol). These cars are incredibly tough. Drive it like you stole it. After numerous drag strip passes and over 20k on the clock, my 2008 still looks and runs as good as the day I bought it. If you liked your car, you will love the 2013.

One mod I highly suggest is a protective/sound deadening rubberized coating in the rear wheel wells. It is very easy to install.

Your buyer in Australia will spent a mint converting to RH drive. Mustangs are a fortune over there.

Congratulations on the new car. The 2013-2014 GT500s are keepers for sure.

You are right. It is incorrect to imply I never pushed the car But it was well cared for. BTW anyone considering a sale of a muscle car should consider the Australian market. My GT500 will sale for $130K+ in Brisbane.

$35,000 to convert to RSDriving in Australia, but that just increases the worth of the car.

Is it necessary or even possible to convert a FGT to right hand drive? Were the British cars RHD? I don't remember from Top Gear.

I assume to be legal in Australia, yes, conversion is necessary.
