2010 GT500 production numbers

Just heard that Ford has decided to reduce 2010 GT500 production to around 2000 units. Can anybody confirm this info?

It's still wrong. It's a misinterpretation of mathematics by a zone manager.

p.s, SVT will be saying something about this shortly, but rest assured, there is not going to be a 2000 unit limit or massive production cut to the 2010 GT500.

How many units are they projecting for 2010? And home many 07-09s were built?

Not sure, but I'll find out tonight. I think they originally planned on about 7500. Depends on the economy but I don't even know if they can move that many. Some have even moved over MSRP but that will be exceedingly short lived.

They built about 23,000 between 07-08-09.

That's good to hear. Some people are freaking out about this. I wonder how
such a misunderstanding could occur. Anyway, glad to hear I can still expect my order to come through. Thanks for the info guys.

We currently have a 2007 Grabber Orange w/ no stripes making 850+ hp with a Whipple 3.4 on it. We wanted to get the Super Cobra Jet so we didn't have to destroy a perfectly good GT500 to race. The 2010 will be getting a twin turbo setup on it. Pics will come soon.
