While I agree that auction prices are not necessarily a reflection on real world pricing, it was nice to see to see the enthusiasm remaining very strong for these cars. I think that Eddie Hills Heritage at 359 is good deal for an end user. (No affiliation)
I have sold with Mecum and what Dave has stated is 100% correct. I will never sell with BJ simply because I do not believe in no reserve. I have seen too many of my friends get burned by buying their cars back or selling for short $$
Looks like a 600 mile heritage hammered for 390K, a black no stripe with 300 miles went for 305K and a 2 mile white one sold for 340K. These do not include the buy fee. The Cena NFGT was a no sale at 1 million.
That was a great price for a Heritage. Sorry to hear that it did not do well for the seller. I don't care what BJ says, in my opinion the stars do not always align and people end up getting burned with a 100% no reserve auction.
It reminds me of the movie trading places when the Dukes explain the commodities business and then tells Valentine "the good part" Duke and Duke always makes $$$ no matter how well or poorly they do.
Let's say I wanted titanium exhaust and lug nuts, carbon fiber wheels, painted calipers with launch control interior. Any idea as to what the MSRP would be? Black with orange stripes.
