Then yours may have been altered after it left the factory.... do you have the window sticker? There were no midnight blue/no stripe GTs made in January 2006. Is your VIN 1846? The ONLY 2006 Midnight Blue, no stripe, Mac, lightweight wheels, red calipers was made 8/18/2006.

You didn't ask to know more so I assume you don't particularly care for details so I won't bore you but it was ordered built to spec for Coughlin Ford in Johnstown Ohio on 6/13/2006.

Congratulations!!! A very special car indeed, it is one of a kind. If you have the McIntosh radio it was built on 8/18/2006 and if you have the standard radio it was built on 6/20/2006 and originally sold on 7/13/2006. Want to know more just ask.

Since I can not edit posts I've made I have to append this additional post to the thread: There were also several "one-of-one" when you include the "radio delete" option into the mix.

There was also the 2005 painted "Gulf Blue" with orange stripe (vin# 0036). I do not know if the Gulf Blue is the same as the 2006 Heritage blue but would guess so....

I still believe it to be from a wire EDM. If it were an extrusion I believe many more would be in existence. Is it stainless steel and not aluminum? Is the bottom of the auto outline complete or is it open where the rocker panels would be? What did you read about the wire EDM process that...

Someone at a wire burning EDM machine shop had lots of time to kill. That was probably more than a full day project just for the burning plus programming time. I doubt very many were made.

I hope you aren't disappointed but yours actually was the 44th GT produced. There were 41 made before 9/7/2004, the day yours was completed. Of the three built on 9/7/2004 yours was the last. I am not allowed to access the “Authenticity” link but if you find anything that contradicts my data...
