    Gauge Replacement - How to

I figured it out. No hack sawing the substructure. The issue was the harness jamming up behind the gauge panel so that the panel could not seat. The right and left gauge bracket holes are fine. I drew a picture of what happened. I haven't drawn since kindergarten so apologies. There is a...

    Gauge Replacement - How to

When I put in the left side of the gauge panel it will not go into the left bracket hole. I do not know if it is the top or the bottom of the left bracket hole where it hangs up as the panel obstructs the view. The panel goes into the right bracket hole (first) fine. I thought about enlarging...

    Instrument Cluster Binnancle Removal

After taking a vacation from R&R the gauge panel with Autometer small gauges I started up the car and all is good. Next will be to reinstall. I haven’t looked at the panel to see if I can file a few millimeters off the left side without ruining it. As no one has offered up this idea it probably...

Has anyone tried using a fine file to remove 2mm of material on the left side of the panel?

    Instrument Cluster Binnancle Removal

Getting that panel out was very tough. I wise person said that you don’t want to take that panel out again and recommended replacing the gauges with Autometer gauges. They are spot on to the OEM gauges. Apparently they are a better gauge than the Ford gauges. So I bought all the small gauges...

    Gauge Replacement - How to

The zip ties on the two left gauges are very loose. Real loose. As this is the first time the panel has been out is this correct or did someone forget to tighten them? Thanks

    Gauge Replacement - How to

My panel was almost impossible to remove. The blue tool was especially helpful as once the panel was loose. Then I could then get the right angle tool behind the panel and move it out. My 2 cents worth. Thanks to Kendall and Shadowman and everyone's comments or I doubt I could have done the job.

    Gauge Replacement - How to

Unfortunately I am electrically challenged. After the instrument panel was out I noticed that the speedometer needle is now at 60. The tachometer is a touch off zero. The rest of the gauges are fine. The booster is being replaced. The ground battery cable was removed before starting the job...

    Instrument Cluster Binnancle Removal

As I recall the top left corner is tight when removing the gauges, the thickness of the tape makes it more so. The Speedhut panel is a little smaller in dimension and goes in a bit easier. You are so right about the left side. If the panel was shaved 3 mm shorter on the right side would be able...

    Instrument Cluster Binnancle Removal

You are so right about the left side. If the panel was 3 mm shorter on the right side would be able to take it out without any problem. Right now it has 1 layer of blue tape on the binnacle and I am afraid if I forced it it will cut through the tape into the binnacle. The right side barely...

Need help disabling the "door ajar" alarm in '06 GT.

I have the same problem. I have tried the above without success. Is there a way to check if the switch is faulty.

    Programming Gauge Control Module

It seems unfair to install a new unit with higher mileage than the original mileage. It also drives down the price. Let's say you have a 1k car and put a module with 5k. I have research this and there is no definitive answer except don't do it. I feel the goal would be to reset the odometer to...
