How about if I simply swapped out the stock muffler for the Ford GT Performance Muffler? Does that make a noticeable difference? Sorry I should have clarified that this is what I am actually considering...

Is it loud all the time or just when you get on it?

Thanks SFLGT. So the evaporator door motors could cause that clicking every 8-10 seconds? My car's at Maroone now and want to let them know to check that out... Last year they said they thought it was the clutch.

So can we surmise they all do it out of the box and it's a design flaw? Or does the clutch actually fail?

OK gang. I had that problem and the peeps at Maroone fixed it about a year ago. According to Brian Stahl, they replaced the "clutch on the a/c", whatever that means. Anyway, it was exactly the sound you all are describing and it went away. The bad news is the noise is back as of last month...

I live in So. Fla. and abolfaz's post is why you can't seem to buy a "hot" car locally. Dealers know you're right as to market value, but they also know there's plenty of local people who just don't care what it costs and they're gonna buy the car. So they smile and say $225K in an MSRP market.

Russ -- Before I purchased my GT, I looked at one that Maroone Ford in Ft. Lauderdale had for sale on their floor. I also asked about service and the salesman told me that they had a qualified GT service technician on site. I haven't taken my car in for service yet, but that's where I plan on...

I saw the GR1 concept at the Miami Auto Show today. They had a GT next to it. In real life I think the GT is much better looking. The Ford guy told me he thinks the price will be around $80k.
