Window Tint - Any issues? (Central Florida)

Hey there - My new GT should be loaded on the trailer and on its way to Orlando early next week!

In anticipation, I'm getting my checklist of stuff together and will be doing a few posts.

I did a search on "tint" and found only a few posts, none that really discussed tinting the GT. Tinting your windows is pretty much a "must do" in Florida, and I have a good guy to do the job.

I am just curious as to what windows to tint? Just the doors? The engine window?

Does anyone have any experience with this? Big thanks for any posts and/or pictures!

PS - To save a second post - If any of the Florida GT owners can recommend a dealer for service that would be great. Buying local just didn't work out, and I figure I'm going to have to find the right place for service sooner or later.

I haven't done the GT yet, but I'm in Arizona (even more necessary than Florida) so I have tinted all of my other cars.

Obviously I would do the sides. I would not do either back window. Rear view (what there is :willy ) is hard enough without darkening - imagine it at night with tint.

I would also think that there could be a heat issue if you do the rear glass or the clam shell.

Another guess would be if you did the clam shell, since you look through it at an angle, it could be harder to see through than normal - a compound effect because of the angle.

Interesting - I never thought about it, but other than the sides it really does not make much sense to do the rears.

I live in St. Aug and tinting the side windows only made a huge difference. Plus it just looks evil.

Yeah that was a pro photo shoot that we took in gainesville right after the car show for day 2 of the Hot Rod power tour.
