Why are cars fun to drive?

in addition to Mexico > Area 51 is my other fav place to let it all hang out :secret:

there is just something about driving 90 miles down a 2 lane highway in 36 minutes flat that just makes my dick hard :beer2:

Why Driving Cars Is Fun By Special Ed

If a guy wants some time alone people think something is wrong with him. But if a guy wants to go drive his car by himself that's cool.

I like to to unwind driving my car down the road; then, when I hit the twisties, all of life's cares disappear.

The problem with driving is the police. I took my car on a 450 mile trip the other day to cross some mountain passes. Saw 8 police cars. The sad fact is driving a super car at legal speeds is boring. 10 over in a normal car might fly, but in the GT your getting pulled over. Even in the middle of nowhere you can go to jail if you are in the wrong spot.

the solution to your problem is a race track. i recommend the Bonneville 100 :thumbsup

i will driving my Ford GT 101 miles in 40 minutes flat this year for an average speed of 150 mph at this race. the Bonneville 100 is run on a 2 lane highway in Northern Nevada with 50 turns, lots of hills and goes through a mountain pass :cool

here is a link to their website > www.openroadracing.com

and here is a pic of me racing my viper there back in 2007 :cheers

I agree completely! Always obey the laws of man and nature, unless you are an illegal alien, then you get an out of jail card.

gotta luv it! way to go Dad!:biggrin

Come out to the west - just stay away from the coastal region of Southern California.

Ralphie's right (as usual). That's why I have a place in Arizona. Today, for example, I'll log nearly 300 miles through the desert and mountains with the Lambo club on our monthly "Bull Run". Then I'm off to a car show in the evening. The scenery and roads are awesome, and the commaradere of fellow enthusiasts is a strong force out west. My wife, however thinks I enjoy buying cars as much as I drive them! Here's one of the latest that I'm driving today.

EXCEPT FOR ARIZONA!!!! (As of yesterday that is!)

I do the best I can to look out for her and leave the rest in the hands of the road gods. I bought this car for one reason, to perform. I am lucky that I have a lot of lonely roads out here so finding the place to let her loose is not my issue.

That said I have another "fun" car that is the one I am comfortable parking anywhere. The GT is my driving car. The other is my parking car. :lol :cheers

+1 - my corvette is my "parking car" lol

so i was in the pits one time working on my camaro at the local race track and this guy comes up to me and asks me "how come you never take any of your cars to the show and shine events" you know what i told him? i said there are two kinds of car guys. the kind that actually race their cars and then there is the kind that sit in a parking lot all day and talk about what their car can do. then i told him you can see my car goin down the track :lol

another time this guy at the motorcycle store asked me "what good is it to own a turbocharged motorcycle with 200 horsepower and a top speed of 200 mph? and where the hell can you go that fast besides a race track, anyways" you know what i told him? any side street......

and finally there are no speeds limits on water (these vidz are best viewed in 480p) > http://www.youtube.com/user/FastFreddy488#p/a/u/1/b2Xg5mcPbu8

I kinda know what you mean:
I was in Germany (2005) with my partner and building a new factory which I bought a new f-150 4x4 For him to drive around the complex in the mud (you never see a pickup in Germany) anyhow he gave me a A8 which was cool. On the autobhan running 175mph in the left lane while bumper to bumper traqffic in the right lane going 65 sent my nerves into hyper mode. I was cool with it for a bit but after a very long time I said could you please stop talking on the phone (hands free) and pull over and let me drive:ack

Florida is weird because of the melting pot of drivers from all over and tourist.

Sounds like a comercial but go buy a SHO with adaptive cruise control, air bladder massage seats and you will thank me. This car is amazing. I get to work (1/2 hour drive) and so refreshed and laid back I could drive all day.

I set the cruise anytime I have more than 2 miles between lights. It applies the brakes adjusts speed to maintain a gap distance you set.

Save the GT for fun driving

I think driving the Ford GT is like flying a plane.

I drive up and down the Merritt Pkwy in CT which is two lanes, and very scenic.

I have to focus, and be in a zone, and this excludes ALL other stimuli, issues, worries for that 1-2hrs.

I love the a/c as it keeps the cabin icy; i have gotten out and my submariner has fog on the lens.

Re: others/worry

Its like being with a gorgeous woman on Sat night. She will attract attention from ALL and not all of it good. The best revenge is not reacting to it, and taking her back home for full enjoyment.

i have raced everything you can think of with a motor in my life except airplanes. with that said nothing will put you in the "zone" like motocross. especially when you attempt difficult jumps like Evel Knievel did. the focus and fear are off the charts :eek

you will never see a motorcycle parked in front of a Psychiatrist office :thumbsup

take a look at these guys faces before they make these jumps :cool

And who's to say which one is enjoying himself more? :wink

Some would argue there ought to be!:lol

PUT THE GUN DOWN, FREDDY!!! I'm jus' messin' with ya! :cheers

I've found that no matter where you live, if you get up really early on a Saturday morning, you will have the road all to yourself for a couple of hours. This is my typical motorcycle routine.
