When to replace mounts and bushings?

Yes but I bet there is a standard diameter bore that there are poly bushings available. These type bushings are easy to install in the control arm and when the sleeve is installed the bushings will be a tight fit. If mine ever needs them this would be my choice of repair with no damage from pressing or heating the control arm.

The European guys have the parts and the method. Check with David Jones.

Anyone come up with a way to repair/replace the control arm bushings? I was old the bushings are pre loaded and carry 30% of the cars suspension. Can anyone confirm?

If I remember correctly @GT101 offers replacement bushings.

I have talked to Rich. He does not have replacement bushings.

They do have a trick in Europe. They cut out the old and heat in the new if I remember right. There is a thread here about it. David Jones in the UK is the guy to ask. I thought Rich had done some , but I guess not.

David developed sway bar bushings. Or bushes as they like to say. I think MATECH did some control arm bushing work, but nothing came of it.

We haven't ever had to replace the bushings themselves - we do have rubber boots to replace the OE ones that perish.
