After 2 modified C5s, I think its time for a FGT. Never driven one but I have started looking.

All comments welcome and your forum, I enjoy.

Congratulations!

Nothing against my prior vettes (I had 4 C5's prior to buying my GT, the last being an MTI Z07). You'll find the GT a MUCH more polished and rewarding car and it'll hold it's value better. One thing I have noticed though is that I don't toss my GT around as carelessly as the vettes. It's almost like I'm afraid I'll destroy a piece of irreplacable art.

Good Luck and Enjoy!

Hey Jess! Thanks for the report. I was at MTI the other day. Place looked way different than a few years back - maybe an owner change?

Anyway, I am chasing the GT40. Just started getting serious this week and plan to visit with a guy locally next week that has 4. My learning curve is vertical.

Hey Donny,

look forward to meeting you next week.

Bigs... what are you doing for lunch next tuesday??? (Donny, you need to meet Bigs as well)

:cheers

Welcome to our forum donnymac, we have two expert dealers as a part of our forum that I strongly suggest you speak with in selecting a Ford GT. Elite Auto's and BJ Motors both have alot of GT's to choose from and both are very informative when it come to this particular car.

Good luck in your search for the best car money can buy:thumbsup

Jess - really looking forward to Tuesday!

The MTI Z07 is one of my favorite Vette monsters out there... particularly this mad owner's Z07... I can't say my own transition from super sportscar to monster would be much different in chronology... Stock, 420 RWHP, 585 RWHP Z07, Heat extractor hood, new wide fenders, and wider rear wheels, 611 RWHP; Race slicks, 620 RWHP (broken in) Pfadt adjustable coil-overs, World Challenge splitter, ducktail... what next :)

Well, if you're going to look , may as well start at the PEAK (ha, ha, ha, ha)

Starting with Ray is like going from preschool directly to Harvard Grad school :)

Sounds like Ray's local reputation is widely distributed. I am plenty ready to get educated.

Stay away from Ray! You will go broke! He has very fine taste in cars. If you go for a ride in one of his, it will ruin it for you. Tell him you only wanna ride in the SLOW SOLID BLACK ONE! :thumbsup

All BS aside, you found the right guy. Ray is the man! I am sure he will show you the GT like no one else could! :driving:

Hay That Was My Old Solid Black Girl That You Are Talking About.

I think I am in trouble!

DONNYMAC: Look at the list of cars at my signature line. I could see selling EVERY ONE OF THESE and keeping just my FGT. It's that good. Do it. You won't be disappointed.

CMOODY ,
Is my jeep ready ??

I think I'm hooked. Talked to some guys at a car show Saturday - nothing but praise for the FGT. They were all long term vette guys, too.

Thanks for the insight. I hope to start shopping soon!

Its like giving up hamburgers for steak. Do it.

You guys are fuelling my weakness!

MTI is no longer in the modding business, but rather a dealer. I think Jayson still owns it.

I have 3 Vettes currently (LPE 415 C4 ZR-1, procharged C5, cammed C6Z06) and while I love them, there is no substitute for the GT.

Come to Houston if you want to do a back to back comparison.
