Valve Cover Removal and Install

Hello Forum,

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to remove and install valve covers?

Do I need new gaskets?

What do I tighten the bolts to once I reinstall?

Anything else I should know?

In-Vehicle Repair page 303-01-3 states that the gaskets are secured with a sealant "install new gaskets" . there is a sequence to tighten the bolts...hand tighten then sequentially to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Removal is basically disconnecting the crankcase hose,electrical connectors and just moving things out of the way. Highly recommend you buy the repair manual. PM me if you want you want the cover bolts' sequence.

Make note the torque is in lb-inch, not feet. Someone here has made that mistake.

The only pita part of is removing the old silicone sealant.

Are your snorkels painted or are they decals? That is a great look.

Thanks, they're carbon fiber that has been painted.
