Just a video from the runway races down in Miami this weekend. Weather was perfect and the cars all ran great.

And here's a vid of Heffner driving a Gallardo Twin Turbo he build from in the car:

That car ran 60-130 in 4.65, just barely off Javo driving Peak's car 60-130 in 4.55 at the Texas Mile. We kept wondering why he was off it so early when we were standing at the end of the runway, but it just kept getting from 0-200 so fast and running out of gear that he was coasting it down. 0-200 was right about 19 seconds with a top speed of 201. There was a slight tailwind and the runway was really nice and warmed up. Those Lambos seem to run better the hotter they get.

Forgot to mention the GT stopped running at 223 running pump gas. The guy who owned the White GT was very cool. He and his son were racing that car and their 997 GT2 all day. The GT2 was fast as hell. Managed to hit 195 before slowing down.

Cool !! I wish I could have been there.. I was out of town..:ack

Is the white GT TT or Whipple+3.9?

Thx for sharing.

White GT is the turbo car.

Could not tell how well the Whipple did by the video.

But i know Mr. B is a white TT kind of guy so one could only guess who won:lol

Did you have your car there Dave?

Nope. Fun stuff, but that setting is not for me. Liability concerns.

From the mid to the end of the first run, it appears that the TT car was really pulling away from the Whipple+3.9 car. I would have thought the Whipple+3.9 would be keepping up with the TT closer. My expectation is totally without basis, though.

Also, the angle of the camera and the vidoe might have exeggerated the distance between the 2 GTs.

White GT is the turbo car.

The TT did run away the faster they went. We watched from the middle of the runway and it was a good bit faster. Also have to take into account it was 80+ degrees out and undoubtedly the Whipple car was suffering from a temperature induced loss of power.

looks like fun, five going side by side, now thats NUTS! I love it.:lol

Do you mean 223 is the top speed on pump - or he just ran out of space?

Approx how much runway did he need to get to 223 mph?

Thanks for sharing!
