Trying to reconstruction Placement of stickers

- Swap rear muffler to one with active valves (all EU except UK) and electronic controller which used engine and vehicle speed inputs.

- Swap battery to Optima yellow top (due to increased load from tracker system) fit loom and charger point (using an Accumate charger) .

That is interesting! Re Muffler - Is that a elec. control on the outlet?? Open exhuast vs. attenuated?

Does anyone know the color delivery of the Euro 101

Look at the stats with "Radio Delete" and that will tell you.

Thanks

Yes it was done by using a vehicle speed input (taken from the speedo sensor in the trans casing) and an engine speed signal taken from elsewhere in the loom and feeding them to a electronic controller housed where the trans cooler usually mounts. When the vehicle speed and engine speed were in the correct window of operation that equates to the drive by noise test conditions, the controller deploys a solenoid to apply vacuum (created by a vac pump and reservoir housed next to the controller) to two valves which sit at the muffler inlet with perforated butterfly plates. This increases back pressure and shuts down the muffle to ensure we comply with the EU regulations. In addition the muffler had added insulation between the inner and outer skins and twin skin acoustic tailpipes. Even when it's open the muffler is still quieter than stock though.
