Transaxle numbers

I have a brand new (still in original box). transaxle. According to the Ford GT complete owners experience that transaxle belongs to , acar made 11/29/2004 no 450 So is there 2 with the same numbers.. or could it be a problematic box.. didn`t pass inspection..

I would have thought that the VIN number on the transaxle means it's used, box or not. Surely a "new" one would have no VIN on it?

Pure speculation, but perhaps it was returned as a core and rebuilt, but Ford neglected to scrub the existing VIN before it was sold as a service replacement. Ultrasportracing, if you are interested in selling it, you should contact the owner of the car. I for one would pay a premium to get a replacement transaxle with a factory issued VIN matching my car. I would think that is a very rare occurrence.
