Throttle body coating?

What would be the most appropriate material to use on this surface. I want it black or silver (like the stock frame). This is a little to much bling for me.

I agree on the "bling" thing...Paint would be easy or powdercoat, you could also just bead blast it.

+1 here. No coating to scratch, discolor, or flake off.

Bead blasting would give you more of a stock (cast) look, just make sure you clean it real well b4 installation!!

Would it need to be recoated afterwards to prevent corrosion?
 
Once you bead blast it (I use vapor blast with powdered walnut shells) then get it either Hard anodized and then clear coated on the out side. Most good coating shops will give you the best advice on what process to acheive the look and durability you want. Powder/paint is great but the coating is thick and you may need to do a bit of work to keep all the important surfaces from to much build up.
