Gentlemen,
Today is my 54th birthday but when I woke up this morning, something else entirely was on my mind. Last year on this day I received a birthday greeting from Daniel Bonyhadi. The next day, one year ago tomorrow, our good friend died in a tragic accident. So I sat and reflected for a while this morning, reading old posts and looking at old photographs of our Moderator Emeritus. Tomorrow is a sad anniversary but I can't let it go by without mention.
Take a moment, and watch the two short videos linked below. We miss you Dan.

When you look at the balance of our small personal universe.....and then, the bullshit, the conflicts in service organizations, the petty bickering in business. And then out of the blue, get an email like the one I just received from the wife of one of my best friends, who is coincidentally going through chemo himself..... it causes one reflect on true balance, and be appreciative of what one has. We give too much free rent in our minds to insignificant things and people.
God Bless America,
Daniel

It seems like such a crazy thing that a bunch of guys with some car can become close on the internet, and everyone knows what a giant life Bony had outside this website, but that's just the way it is. This world could use a lot more people like Daniel Bonyhadi and hopefully everyone took a little piece of that with them from R IV. He's gone but not forgotten, and he'll be with us at every Rally until there are no more Rallies to be had. Rest in peace, and of course, God Bless America. :usa

........upon reflection, I believe there is one best final resting place for Daniel Bonyhadi. Because in this place, across any span of time or distance, Daniel can return to us, with an answer, some historical perspective, or a humorous caustic comment that makes us smile. The one best final resting place for our dear friend Daniel, is in the hearts of his good friends assembled here tonight, and that is where we lay him to rest.
God bless you Daniel.
We love you brother.
And God Bless America.
Chip
