I left home for Rally X yesterday morning, and covered lots of miles - I'll post lots of pictures and hopefully some vids too, but I'm a bit tired tonight. I drove 727 miles yesterday to Grand Junction and had dinner with our Piccola. Today, I drove 465 south down the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway to Durango and over to Pagosa Springs, down to Santa Fe, NM, and then up to Las Vegas, NM. I just wanted to post this one pic tonight -

See you soon Ralphie. Be careful not to drive into an EPA Sludge river... your car will be Yellow instead of Red...!

Ralphie called today as he passed by my house (despite me being in TX), so all is going well. He will be overnighting in KY (maybe in a big hole in the ground near Corvette museum). He's getting closer.

80,000 on a Ford GT ?
I wonder how many miles he has put on his DD...

I left home on Monday morning, 08/10, and drove across Nevada and Utah to Grand Junction, on the western edge of Colorado. I took US 6 from the Bishop, CA, area to Tonopah and Ely, NV, and US 50 to Holden, Utah and then to Salina, and then I-70 to Grand Junction, CO. As many of you know, the roads across Nevada and western Utah are pretty boring, but due allow for some fast travel. The first day's journey covered about 725 miles.

Somewhere between Tonopah & Ely -

Near Currant, NV (just a turn in the road now - used to have a gas station and restaurant there, with a huge Hereford bull statue on the roof, but that's all gone now)
