W. Mitty has inspired me..

I know there are a lot of serious car guys here that have been racing for years, but there are also many of us regular guys who dream of taking our cars 200 mph+ that probably NEVER WILL.

I would be glad to organize or help organize something here in Georgia.
There are plenty of airstrips in this state and I don't think it would be that hard to get something going.

I would love to video tape the runs and start a collection on you tube.

We could come up with a name like the "GT200 Club" and even have our own section here on the forum??

Come on guys, who's in??

GTFUN - whats stopping us from still finding a "sanctioned" place in Ga? I'm only 4 hr's from Atlanta....

I think Atlanta is about 800 miles from me. 200mph. I'm about 4hrs away too:thumbsup

I know there are a few Atlanta area guys that get together and did mention
using an air strip. I haven't heard from them lately but will find out and
keep everyone posted.

We tried to do this before the great flood and the demise of Kirby's gt but I am certainly still in.

If this comes together, I'm in as well.
In the meantime, I'll light a candle for Kirby's GT.

March 26

Gentlemen,

I hope to join the 200 MPH Club on March 26, 2010 at the Texas Mile. My driving skill are not exactly world class but I think I can do this. My TT GT is running perfect.

Chip with decent conditions you shouldn't have any problems passing 200 and them some with a TT. :cheers

I plan to do Mojave in March, but at 2600' altitude and with a 1% (50') up hill rise all the stars will have to align for me to get to 200 with a gen 1 Whipple. I need a high barometric pressure, low humidity with a cool temps and tailwind. :willy

As long as you don't miss a shift and/or spin too much in 2nd you will nail 200 no problem. Piece of cake with a TT.

I'd be happy to run it down the track for you to make sure it's broken in. :biggrin

Make sure to have a set of R6's on the rear.
