Texas Concours d'Elegance Keele & Wheels

We each have our hands in the other's pocket. Mr. Shelby did say RED was his favorite color after blue.

Shelby obviously has impeccable taste!

Go Blue!

A quality lens...

.....makes all the difference when you're trying to get an accurate shot with minimal distortion. When it comes to cameras I only buy the best! :thumbsup

Hey Chip,

See what you can do to help this one out. That is Mid Nite Blu talking to Mr. Shelby. I believe Tomy, again my camera for some reason over penetrated his hair, on the left.

Okay girls, it is Sunday night and we have no account of the event yesterday at the Texas Concours?

Some details and images por favor.

Keels & Wheels Update

Sorry Guys for not posting sooner but I'm Exhausted! :ack Here's the word. On Thursday about 4:00pm Carroll called me on my Cell to tell me that his Doctors and in La and in Dallas had advised him to come back to his home in LA and leave his farm in Pittsburg, Tex. (he was in Pittsburg for two weeks resting, as he was coming here from there for Sat. & Sun. then on home to La on Sunday after the show.
He was very upset about the news but I told him we understood and that his health and well being was way more important than any car-boat show. This swine fever thing has everyone in Texas very scared and upset. We did not want anything happening to Carroll at our Event. Because of the medications he takes and due to the fact that at 86 and being the oldest dual transplant recepient living. He has a very delicate immune system which is critical to ANY virus or influenza. He offered to send Cleo and I felt she needed to stay with him. We then emailed all of the Shelby participants on Thursday evening to be up front with them as they came from all over the country to be here. We had some everything Carroll built (48 total) 1-street Ford GT, two 427 Cobras (very expensive Cobras that are never shown or exhibited
(3000 series, the real deals) one 289 Cobra, and many, many mustangs of all kinds from GT-350 drag car, GT-350 scca race car, Gt-350,s, GT-500 and KR's and many more. The Shelby exhibit was wonderful. Total cars in the show were around 400 with over 100 classic boats from all over the country. The show set a new all attendance record in its 14th year. This is truly a great show. Carroll was very sadly missed but we had no one complaining about his absence. Great Car and boat people are wondersul and very understanding. On the personal side My Ford GT was placed in a Contemporary class with a 2002 viper, a 1986 Alpha Romeo twin turbo, callaway car, and the 1995 Blue Bulgatti (straight from the Texas 100 run) ON TV TONIGHT . My GT placed 1st in class with the Alfa 2nd. For the first time I was not placed in a race Car Class of which I never place. I spent all weekend educating many Ford GT owners to be a part of our Ford GT Group as many owners were at the show showing or visiting. It amazes me when I visit these owners and see many who don't know about us. They seemed very excited about our Rally IV in October. Well I've taken up enough space for now. Hopefully Carroll will plan to come next year but as we all know it always depends on his health for any actvity. God Bless Him. Thats my 2 cents. Tomy Hamon PS I will invite him to Rally IV in case he's in Pittsburg, Texas. We'll see.:thumbsup

Tomy, Your car looked great as usual. Thanks for representing us so well!

Anyone know who drove their Tungsten GT to the event? It was parked in a gravel lot near the entrance....

Hey Tomy, if you broke that long explanation into 3 paragraphs, you'd have 3 more posts. Sorry about Mr. Shelby. They did the right thing; however, leaving for LA? I think someplace a little more remote and less populated would be the ticket.
