#1 at Barrett Jackson I think I heard.....

I don't know if they are auctioning it but the car will definitely be there. Does anybody know any good "run over shit" areas? Maybe we can arrange something.

My shit runneth over.

Dave,

You bet. I've been riding dirt bikes in the desert here for 40 years and can take you to all the "good "run over shit" areas" you want.

Chip,
I would like to go, provided there is a bar with great patio and hottie servers so I can sit and watch you guys 'run over shit' while enjoying a MAKERS MARK MANHATTAN and great 'gar.... keep me posted. I like the MASTRO's group.
Happy New Year!
Bony

p.s. postmaster bring you something yet?

I've been home in California for a month! It's been a nice vacation...back to the land of no malls and crazy weather on Sunday. :frown

I just saw this truck in person at BJ... as an offroad guy I can honestly say I'm impressed! This is no silly Z71, Nismo, TRD or FX4 offroad package, it has REAL fox offroad shocks, some very stout looking cast aluminum arms & nice fenders. I jumped up on the tail gate to see what the ride would be like and it felt good! Soft spring rate with excellent dampening. I'm pumped about this truck!!!:thumbsup

Dave, there is a wash north east of BJ that I have been using for testing/fun for 15+ years that would be perfect for a truck like this... high speed, twisty, sandy, relatively wide and the bumps aren't to big. Its about 12 miles long, I know it intimately and somewhere around here I have some "course notes". :biggrin Is Gene in town?? lets go!

Which reminds me, does anyone know the difference between a rental car and a 4wd?

im in! even if i have to settle for driving my 4x4 ford ranger. actually i would love to find out how it handles on something a little rougher than old fire trails.:biggrin

There are decent roads around Maricopa, most that I know are on the reservation but if you don't stop there wont be an issue! :thumbsup

The rental reciept in the glovebox!

Contrary to a 4X4, a rental car will go ANYWHERE!!! :lol

Even if it takes banging the floor board back down with a big hammer so the accelerator pedal will function properly. Hypothetically of course. :wink

Went for a customer ride in the Raptor at B/J yesterday. Driver was one of Gene's co-drivers from Baja. "Only" got 4' of air over bigger jump. The "sport mode" traction control, anti-lock braking, and shift control setting was to say the least, very, very Impressive.

BTW the next Raptor race outing is mid-March in Henderson, Nv. Same race truck crew as used in Baja.

'morning Jeff,
do you have the dates of the March event?
thanks,
daniel

I have been called Dale Ernhardt by more than one rental return counter person. :biggrin

Scratches come out with Lipstick and Sharpies..... Duploclor for the bad ones so they say. And yes I have heard a well placed foot can straighten out a floor pan.

I do know of one person who let his friend drive his car in his absence one night. When he got the car back the next morning there was a 800# utility sink in the back seat and the trunk was full of sand
:rolleyes

Saw a Blue Raptor today at the Ford Field Monster truck show.
Nice on the eyes.

I think it was a 09 converted by DST company but the Electric Blue stood out in the lights.
