Stock vs. Optional Rims

112 lbs., wow!

ACR, 7 lbs of unsprung weight correlates to 28 lbs of sprung weight. Times four for each wheel correlates to 112 lbs of extra sprung weight, roughtly the weight of a woman passenger.
fjpikul,

112 lbs., wow! Your female patients must be supermodels!:eek

Jay, I would not recommend the diet that Frank's patients are on...
they seem to be loosing weight daily...
and it is not from exercise...
but, Frank has never had a complaint from a patient...
:lol

I have the luxury of being able to load them into the car one piece at a time for the "best fit" principle.

In December 2006, Snaproll posted a weight comparison where he actually weighed several of the "standard" and "optional" FGT wheels ... both with and without Goodyear F1's mounted. Bottom line was the rears were within 2.5 lbs and the front standards were actually slightly LIGHTER than the optional forged rims. Go figure ...

This is like "Do you prefer blondes or brunettes". I like them all. Can only ride one at a time though. :eek

Both Standard and Optional wheel are beautiful. Subjective as to which is nicer.

Be like Bony. Have both!:thumbsup

USMCfred: where are you getting the wheels with the 3 eared spinners? Can you post a pic of what they look like???? Would love to see them. :willy

How about the standard wheels on the right side of the car and the BBS on the left! :biggrin After going somewhere with the car, you can pick your approach depending on your mood....

What would the 112 lb women be wearing?

pink bikini :biggrin

Could someone post pics of both wheels side by side??
