A few years back Steve McQueen's Tag watch from the movie "Le Mans" came up at auction. I wondered if an investment in the range of $12,000 would be advisable. I guess it would have been, since the hammer dropped at ~$80,000. And would that have been a good buy? It more recently auctioned at ~$800,000. The suit may be underpriced at $400,000

The site says the auction is on the 23rd, so I don't think this is the one...

A bit more research says the $984,000 was back in 2011, so I,m now wondering about the Bonham's estimate of $200,000 to $300,000?

Guys I remember this suit. It was here in Toronto at a friend of mine store. It was offered to me for $150,000.00 I thought that was a crazy price. And yes it did later sell for approx 900,000. Boy wish I had a crystal ball then.
