As soon as you posted this I thought "Wonder how long it takes for the first person that doesn't bother to look at the date to post" and then I thought "Wonder how long it takes for the second person to still wonder if it's true despite seeing the date." We've got both! :biggrin

When I saw the photo, I couldn't help but think it the lighter side of a NASCAR derivative to homologate Mustang. We're just glad Dearborn isn't too taken with that direction. Long live 2 door Mustangs.

Then again, perhaps the Chinese will pick up on this 'new direction' and put 'er into production.

Speaking of that, it still disgusts me that the only place we see TWO DOOR versions of some of today's NASCAR race cars is AT THE TRACK. I still remember the days when any particular TWO DOOR car had to actually exist and be available in the showroom (what was the thing back then?...the factory had to have offered at least "X" number of 'em to the public, or whatever it was?). Not only that, but, the drive train of both the race & showroom cars had to have the same layout (nunna this FWD drive in the showroom, but RWD on the track stuff) and the car had to at least have a V-8 option 'same as the V-8s on the track.

"Stock cars"? "Stock cars" my foot...

I'm all done venting now...

Pockets, That is probably one of the biggest reasons NASCAR is sucking wind right now, oh that and placing the emphasis on Wheaties cover Driver personalities rather than manufacturer's developments and pitting one car or brand against another.

For me the Heyday was during the late 80's and early 90's. Not only were the Fords not continually penalized for superior engines during that period (as opposed to long before and ever since) but even GM pitted Pontiac, Buick and Olds against Chevrolet. And you could tell the cars apart at a glance without relying on paint and stickers.

Now all that has been solved by the COTA and everyone running a variant of the 351Clevor, even Toyota and Mopar. :thumbsdow
 
I just tried to order one for my wife!!!
 
If Ford was to do that for the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang, that would be the height of dumb. Glad it's April 1!!

While I agree, it seems that the car sells well.

Apparently Porsche loyalists who need a (Porsche) 4 door.

I was surprised to discover that the Panamera in black is actually quite stunning. 'In other colors...eeeeh, not so much. 'Saw a black one in Scottsdale a couple of weeks ago that was all shined up to the hilt ('paint 3 feet deep, 'tire dressing, 'wheels, 'tinted windows - the works). It was actually very sharp looking. In fact, it was so sharp looking I truly didn't realize what it was at first!

(Regardless, I still prefer the Cont. GT/GTC [and darn near anything else in that particular league] over the Panamera.)
