Speedhut IP & Gauges

Just picked up my GT from Heffner after Jason installed the Speedhut gauges, and I love 'em. I ordered gauges to be as close to stock as possible, with polished bezels. Now I have to figure out how to make a display piece out of the old IP. Unfortunately the speedo is locked at an embarrassing 42 mph! The look great and they work!

That's a coincidence. I also had a speedo stuck at 40 which gave me the excuse I needed to recently do a Speedhut set. I worked with Jessica at Speedhut to help me replicate the OEM's: not a perfect match but close...

This is indeed the closest to OEM I have seen. It's the only one I've seen with the numbers outside the tick marks.

I wonder what the issue is with matching the graphics? And...the biggest issue...why they can't make a larger diameter tach. Is a flat-bottom bezel too hard to make?

Just an observation.

With so many owners now gravitating to the Speedhut gauge offerings (because their units actually can be counted on to WORK), if Autometer does not come up with a failure root cause diagnosis and economic fix, there may be no market left.

I like the Speedhut custom gauges as so many of us have changed our boost, top speed, redline, etc. Plus they are guaranteed for life & the entire set is only a little more than one OEM speedo. I love my shift lights also.

Those look great! I really like them. When and if I have problems with any of my gauges I would like to replace them with the speed hut set. I hope I didnt just jinx myself!!

Regarding the Autometer gauges - it's not "if", it's "when" they fail.

Got my new speed hut gauges in and could not be happier. I had a tach failure and although I did buy an OEM tach, I did not feel like putting it in and replaced the entire gauge cluster....for I might add the price of one Tachometer. Just wanted to have a full OEM set on the side for the next owner....which I might add will not be in my lifetime.

Stu, any pictures & what bezels did you select?

All the best

I chose to pre-empt OEM gauge failures on my 21,000 mile GT.

Took out the entire cluster and replaced with Speedhuts. Original gauge panel is comfy and stored away.

Rich painted the bezels to match the OEM gauge bezels. Perfect match. Will get a pic soon...have been too busy with my new tach testing the red line...just kidding.
