Had a great time today at the morning brunch run to Santa Barbara. Thanks to KJR (Kevin) for coordinating. It was nice to meet up with AMB for the drive to and from the main meeting spots.

Too bad I missed seeing Eric's classic Mustang early this morning in Malibu, I saw pics in the regional section.

Wanted to share these pics with everyone. Looking forward to more pics!

Thanks for sharing the pics of another fun time in So Cal :cheers

Getting to drive my GT and having lunch with some terrific fellow owners. Can't think of a much better way to spend a few hours on a Sunday. :thumbsup

That said when a group of GT owners get together something strange is bound to happen. A guy was admiring our cars when we pulled in and then disappeared for a couple of minutes. When he returned he showed my wife his bird. :eek

I don't know where he was hiding that owl, but the talons on that thing were sick. I mean what five star resort doesn't have a guy roaming the parking lot with a giant bird of prey. :lol

Sorry to hear about the traffic guys. I was home in 45 minutes. :biggrin

Enjoy the pics. It was great meeting and chatting with you all. :cheers

Wow, you guys had a great time...

On a side note though, the Red Gt and the Heritage were the exception (and exceptional) color wise. Blue, Blk and Tungsten must have been the highest numbers produced - I'm just sayin....

Hi Tom,

Great having lunch and chatting with you and your wife, and also Richard, about your sky diving backgrounds. :thumbsup

Heights freak me out, but it was great to hear all your experiences and various perspectives.

I used to instruct motorcycle riding and manage a not-for-profit safety foundation, and I used to remember having conversations with those completely unfamiliar, yet curious, about motorcycles, and the questions they would ask about safety.

It was fun to be on the other side, as an outsider looking into a unfamiliar sport.

Hmmm. There was only one black GT present.

Are you practicing your fuzzy math again, Sam???

Tom wants to talk to you about his lovely experiences with his Eighty Fifty, of your favorite marque...

And jus' think. You Cali people can do this all year 'round...........:frown

(Yeeeeeew mizzerbull...)

And we pay 9% sales tax for the priviledge! :bored

Now Sam...don't go trying to stir up something...just because your fellow SoCal Gt owners know which colors look best...:biggrin

When I read

"That said when a group of GT owners get together something strange is bound to happen. A guy was admiring our cars when we pulled in and then disappeared for a couple of minutes. When he returned he showed my wife his bird."

I thought.... well nevermind. Nice owl

I think I'll try that tonight. Honey, would you like to see my OWL??

That is because Black is not a color Randy.. He He...

I saw 112 to 116 on the car thermo-meter last Wed. driving on the freeway @50-60 and 108 at my abode.

Even the BMW guys had their tops "up". :rofl

Warm it was, and sitll is. 94 right now.

many daily and all time records were set and re-set. :ack

The weather guesser person today said that we may be back to our normal mid 70's later this week.

La Nina or El Nino this winter? How humid has it been?

Ya, but for US that's MUCHO unusual to say the least.

Besides, that wasn't my point anyway...which WAS: you guys can do the sunny cruise thing all year 'round. Most of the rest of us hafta shovel snow, pump out basements, and do other equally unpleasant stuff for at least 3 months of the year.

Speaking of "103 in Seattle"...remember this ol' "CARNAC" line:

(Carnac) "105 in Los Angles"

(Mc Mahon) "105 in Los Angles..."

(Carnac) "Under the Reagan plan...how old will you have to be to collect Social Security?"

When he returned he showed my wife his bird."

...I suppose that's preferable to him giving her the bird. :shrug

And the bird had better not be a rooster, either...

I am just wondering if the "bird" helps him get chicks. :biggrin

I love my Tungsten gal :cool and I try to stay out of the color debate, but there were so many at Bacara I was starting to think that color was only sold to California residents. :lol I have since decided that there were just a lot of people at the brunch who have impeccable taste......like me. :skep

:cheers
