update: got my M1 Abrams shift knob in from the first post. It is absolutely perfect for what I want. The size is almost indentical to the stock knob. I got the satin finish which is very nice. Also, the thing is FREAKIN HEAVY. The GT tranny is already great but on other cars with notchier shifters, the heavy knob would really help.

waiting on my Ford Racing short shifter and Im gonna be a happy guy.

did anybody find the post from over 1 year ago where Franky described in graphic detail how he "grabs the knob and slides his hand down the shaft to the boot for a quick and manly squeeze" :rofl:rofl:rofl
