Shadowman and ExotiCare's Shifter Bezel

Hello Rob,

I guess it is in that it's a cosmetic improvement only in my opinion. But for me it was a necessary one. That OEM rubber boot was no bueno.

I had the short throw installed by the gt guys. I got the polished ball and sleeve. Later I got the boot and brake kit and decided it didn't have enough thread on the ball to hold it. I took the sleeve to a local machine shop and had about 1/2 inch lathed off. All is good

Not to derail how cool the bezel is...it is...but the thin shaft is ergonomically correct. I can wrap my fingers around the ball and shaft (pardon the visuals!) and it feels perfect. A fatter shaft would not feel as good.

And the factory rubber bezel is nice to fondle too. Maybe on a long lonely road trip

:agree:

I purchased the FRPP FORD GT ALUMINUM SHIFT KNOB (M-7213-GT) but decided to not install the sleeve, as it seemed to be to fat for the application.
