They day I brought the GT home, my wife said it was "sexy". I took her for a ride and she liked it and wanted to know why people were waiving and giving thumbs up! She likes it a lot more than the cobra since she didn't burn her leg on a side pipe getting out.

Just wanted to know what your wife, or significant other, thinks or thought of the car.

I was going to ask for good stories of her in the car, but I know where that was headed, so just PM me them.

My wife liked our Shelby GT/SC Mustang convertibles. She hated the Cobra - did the vampire cross thing every time she walked by it. She is ambivalent about the GT. It has all the creature comforts - air conditioning and a place to plug her iPod into, but won't drive it since it's a manual (she never drove the manual mustang either but did the automatic). The big thing is that it doesn't have any place for enough luggage for a road trip so we just go for some rides around the country.

My Sig O had no involvement in me getting a GT. But, she was completely on board from the moment she saw it. She's a bit younger, so she does not have my emotional attachment that goes back to the GT40, but she is still thrilled by it. How's this? She rates Rally 7 and 8 (our only GT Rallys) among the best things we've done in our 20 years together.

You obviously chose wisely!

Unfortunately my wife suffers from vertigo issues and is arthritic....so getting in and especially out of the GT is a "pain" and she gets sick when I drive...even slow. When we were younger she convinced me to get my 427 Cobra and liked riding in it and going to car shows/events.

My wife is in the 150 club (driving). She said she could hear me smile when I called her after picking it up. I'm a lucky guy.

(Disclaimer: Not talking weight :bored, and of course on a closed circuit :wink)

My life companion Jutta has driven my GT from Zuerich, Switzerland to the racecourse in southern France, it is called "Le Castellet", former F1 Racing circuit where Elio de Angelis, at the time of Mario Andretti as well in the Formula 1, was killed in a testing accident many years ago.

She was the only person which i know to manage (to drive with a passenger) the Ford GT , and only consuming so little fuel, like 3 us gallons for 60 mls, i think in your way of calculating it is 20 miles for one gallon, because when i do drive it, as a daily driver, i always use 4 to 4 1/2 us gallons for 60 miles.
On a track day even i am using a full tank for only 70 to 75 minutes fast driving on the track, lap after lap. Mugello in Italy, Le Castellet in France or Spa in Belgium count for good examples.

Jutta thinks, it is so easy to drive as a Audi A6, or Volvo S 60, or Merc E Class.

bye for tonight

My wife's a pilot - loves speed. She's been in the GT at ungodly speeds with me -

My wife loves the GT's and loves riding in it but wont drive it as she's afraid of the horsepower even though I have tried to convince it all depends on how hard you press the pedal. She doesnt like to go fast but she did ride with Rocketman Ron at NOLA and really enjoyed it.

Prior to purchase my wife said, "go buy it but you better let me drive it!"
She loves driving all the toys.
Even the Cobra when it's 40 degrees out.
Best,
Mark

My wife is afraid to drive the fgt so I gave her the 2011 Mustang supersnake with 750hp but didn't tell it had so luch horsepower. Afterwards she was surprised it's so easy to drive. Since then she drove around with the mclaren, sls but still not the fgt nor aventador

My wife really likes the GT. When she first saw it in the trailer when it was being delivered, she thought it was really beautiful (and red IS the best color). Before driving to Rally 8 I made her learn to drive it (just in case ...), but the instant steering feedback and the power makes her nervous. However, she loves to go for drives in it and likes all the high fives and waves we get. To get to R8, we drove for more than 9 hours (only stopped for gas and a short lunch), and she had a great time. She likes to travel light, so we had no problem carrying enough clothes etc for a whole week (you just have to use the space behind the seats to the max). She also enjoyed R8 and everyone we met there. All in all, the GT has become a great vehicle for doing stuff together.

My wife LOVES the GT (as opposed to the brutal Pantera).
She is the one that insisted I get it...especially after she found out what my #1 car choice (McLaren F1) costs.

My (ex) wife hates me for buying it.

My wife loves the GT.
Drives it occasionally.
Even drove it with an instructor both days at Rally 6 at MMP.
That was a marathon for the GT. She drove Beginner group and I drove my group.
GT handled double duty in 95 degree heat for two days without one hiccup.

One of the ladies loves it

My wonderful wife encourages my car obsession, but she unfortunately couldn't really care less about them. She hasn't even driven in the car with me yet and I've had it for 8 months:frown

My other lady, on the other hand, seems to like it.
