Saleen Automotive, North America's premiere specialty vehicle manufacturer, today unveiled the latest in a very aggressive 2008 MY product line up. The new 'Extreme' unveiled today, technically known as the Saleen S302E, now represents the most powerful Ford derived vehicle that Saleen has ever manufactured and a critical step in earning Saleen's new respect for its products and its brand. The 'Extreme', along with 6 other models in Saleen's 2008 model line up, made their world debut today on the runways of the retired El Toro airport runway in Southern California.

I have owned many Saleen mustangs over the years and they are beautiful cars but they don't usually perform except in magazines, in the real world they don't get the job done! I don't want to mention any names but I have heard from reputeable people its the same story with the S7 a lot show, but not a lot of go for the dough! I recently saw a Extreme 550hp run high 12's so how much is another 70 hp gonna do for it? 12.50? Not trying to flame anyone, just stating what I have witnessed first hand on many different occasions!

I really agree with you on the fact that it seems these magazines pull their numbers out of their asses. It was even done with the Ford GT on many occasions. I do hope that this Saleen Mustang will make some people out there happy but I think this car is again going to be a love/hate thing.
