red gts less valuable?

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.... I assure you some folks would not find the heritage their cup of tea. If it was the only color available, I would not be a FGT owner.
Sorry Heritage owner.

The white car I own was originally planned as Silver, but I judge changed my mind...

Now, regarding SHELBYELITE'S comments, our FORUM SPONSOR is buying and selling cars TODAY and is commenting on the market as he sees it. OUR SPONSORS support our site, and I PRAY that we all support them fully.

Red is my favorite color,... after 9 MAKERS MARK MANHATTANS it is the easiest color to find in the parking lot... of course the easiest color for the cops to find as well... oh well...

discuss amongst yourselves :)

Sorry Heritage owner.

No need to apologize Bony.:thumbsup

Kinda like women - As you stated, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder....”:thumbsup

As for me, if white was the only color available, I would still be a FGT owner.:thumbsup

JUST LOVE THIS THING!!!:thumbsup

I was just stating my observation. I agree with most that red is a wonderful color and appeals to most people on sports cars. Although the red cars did take longer to sell, they DID sell and they owners were very happy to get them. My response was just facts that I have gathered from the current GT market. We may find out next year that RED is the only color that sells well, who knows? All I know is that I like them all!
Red, yellow, silver, what ever it may be, These cars are VERY cool and unique. ALL GT's in my book are :thumbsup

I suspect you hit the nail on the head! Many folks that would buy a car like the FGT may want to slide around incognito and having a black, silver or tungsten car you can do just that. Driving a red FORD GT is the equivalent of slapping someone upside the head - hey look at me. I know because I get that look from folks everytime I drive mine!

so sorry Fred, hate to disagree, I have never met a women I didn't like.

at 2am they all look like super models.
:banana:lol:banana

"Many folks that would buy a car like the FGT may want to slide around incognito and having a black, silver or tungsten car you can do just that."

HA!!!!! That's a crock! Incognito? In a GT??? Yew 'gotta' be kiddin' me! No matter WHAT color a GT's painted, when it's going down the road it's the auto equivalent of a curvey blonde walking down the sidewalk in a bikini!! Puleeeeeeze!!!:rofl

"Driving a red FORD GT is the equivalent of slapping someone upside the head - hey look at me."

I think yellow shouts the "loudest" in that department, Ed. 'Just MHO.

Everyone knows, and it's been demonstrated many times on this website, that black is the most easily wrecked car.

Whoa...

I don't think that's a very nice thing to say...

I think you could paint a GT in artificial limb beige and it would still attract a crowd.

I've tended to buy cars in 'house colours' - yellow Murcielago, tungsten silver Vanquish, black Bentley, dark blue Range Rover etc. A bit obvious I guess, but the colours marketed are the ones I tend to find attractive.

I don't think it's salesman BS. I was just about to buy a red one - but then a black one came up (slightly used, 1100 miles). A black Porsche Carrera GT sells for upwards of 50k more than silver. Black and Tungsten are the best colors for resale. All the aftermarket paintjobs are valued in the eye of the beholder, though most people wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Red and Yellow are neat, but we're not buying Ferrari's here so why try making it look like one?

Personally I like the red cars but being 40ish driving one would feel like a cliche' ... mid life crisis and all.

My black car sold in about 20 seconds after I tossed out a price that I thought only an insane person would pay. :ack Then again it did go overseas.

Market is what someone is willing to pay .....seeing this vividly as I have been looking at houses lately. ... and trying to sell one.:bored

Fred's car is about to be second on the list of highest mileage Heritages...

and every woman looks great until you find the one you want and then she's the only one that you see. No matter how much alcohol you consume. (Cr*p I am a hopeless romantic)

and yellow is the hardest color to buy .... are you sure they made any or does Chip just have the ability of mass hypnosis?

S

'Highly doubt anyone who bought a red or yellow FGT did so because they wanted it to look like a Ferrari!!! Especially 'Forum members! :lol

Yeah, good point. Admittedly I do like red - but after seeing both in person, black is amazing.

Salesman BS.
Everyone here knows what the best color is!

White!!! Right? :wink

I’ve been having a mid-life crisis ever since I turned 25.:eek

Catch me if you can !!:banana

That’s what I tell Mrs. Spirit.:thumbsup

after talking to a few brokers and being told red gts dont hold there value as well or dont sell as high as other colors- is this true or just salesman b.s.

don't tell my dad... his is red..... mines white and fast.... but would love a heritage

You're kidding right?!

This is a car that is very proud NOT to be a Ferrari. If I wanted to have a Ferrari I would - I wanted a GT and red's a great colour. It doesn't look like a Ferrari and nor would I want it to.

Fred ... sorry about your early onset of mid-life ... maybe that just made you a dirty old man earlier. :lol

On mileage ... did 900 day before yesterday ... and I am willing to do that again next week... remember its fast in a gt from mo to tx than it is on a jet. (including all the frisking and stuff).

Kiss the MRS for me .... can't wait to see you guys again. your a lucky guy. :thumbsup

oh .... I have a new decal for your car .... remind me and I will send it to you.

Yeah, I agree with this point - although I'm still a firm believer that red will not have the same resale as black - in 20 years I don't know that it will matter much. Many will be wrecks, and only a handful will be mint.

Oh come on now; there’s no debate. :frown

It’s a well known FACT that the most valuable FGT, both today and in the future is/will be the “Highest Mileage” Heritage. :thumbsup

At least to me. :bow
