Hey guys, I was going to buy this but I have no place for it. They only made 4 of the 1968 GT500KR's in this color orange in 1968. I had a deposit on it and pulled out and I told the guy I would help him find a buyer. It's a piece of history waiting to come home to the US

Read about it here. It used to be in South Africa, was in rough shape and a guy in England bought it, restored it, and died last year. His dad sold his collection to this dealer. The owner is a great guy and was very cooperative when I had to pull out.

BRING HER HOME!!!

With the weak $, it will be an expensive acquisition - I think.

95 000 British pounds = 152 038 U.S. dollars

how easy is it to import the car into the US? Given the age i assume its fine from an emissions standpoint etc? any taxes (outside of state registration)?

Really easy since it was made here. You can ship it for about $2k. If you are in Chicago (I grew up in Libertyville) it would come on a boat to New York then shipped on a truck from there.

Bill ships cars everywhere. He's big into Cobras(originals) so he knows the drill. Special car, piece of history. Gonna turn some heads wherever it goes.
