Raced a ZO6 with mods and destroyed it!!

This guy in a ZO6 made a U turn and got my ass. So we lined up and I just pulled and pulled on him. It was like 10 plus cars and I was still pulling away. I have to say I did'nt think I would pull a modded Z that bad. But sure was fun doing it:wink

... I've personally heard that ZO6's are pretty lame vs pulley tuned GT's...

There is always someone faster..always....WHen I was pullied I played with a friend that has a yellow Z06 with a built motor..he never got in to nitrous and stayed on my ass...with the whipple it would be tough to keep up with him on the juice he is pushing over 700.

Now the viper a friend had before he wrecked it..forget it...1100 at the wheels with built motor and twin turbo's.

Just when you think you got them you'll watch them pull your ass...there are some really fast street cars out there boys.

and be careful racing somewhere other than the track...the viper is no more because of it luckily both occupants walked away.

So how about a comparison of the power between your GT, Viper, and 997 Turbo? Those mod'd 997 Turbos are sure fast off the line. And I've been looking at the new Vipers but they don't offer white in '08 so I may wait another year before pulling the trigger.

I'm just curious here. For a GT and a Z to race on any public streets that's anything meaningful, wouldn't you be doing well over 100 mph by the time you shift into 3rd?

Did you find a safe place to do that?

I wish I could find some place around here to "test the waters" a little, (Denver), but my solo is going off about once every 4 miles.

I'd end in jail.

Yes I know there will always be someone faster better looking and richer but dam sure is fun to race anyway. If they pull on me they pull on me. Yes that is my GT at Chalmers along with yours. My 997 is at EVO getting some bigger turbos and tune and another 100hp. As far as the power difference between my cars the 997 pulls hard off the line and just keeps pulling. I love turbo power. The mid range is awesome on the GT700EVO 997. My Viper is a torque monster and loves to burn em. I have to say our GTs with a tune and a pulley really awesome. I drove my buddies F430 and loved it but it is no match for the GT in a drag race. Ravage please don't tell the dealer it has a pulley or tune.

No worries. I was wondering what had been done though. I remember seeing it at the dyno last year when it put down 100rwhp less. I might have a deal worked out with Urist for some turbos, but we'll see.
