Gents; Enough with this "German Engineering" or "Precision Engineering" notions :willy. They are marketing terms at best. Newton's 3 laws of motion are the same in the USA and in Germany. I'm sticking to my F-GT, and a blue ZR1 for my daily driver (or a CTS-V) when the economy picks up a bit. Audis will break, and will depreciate like an M1 Abrams tank :lol

The Audi R8 uses the chassis, driveline and suspension from the Lamborghini Gallardo. Audi's R-tronic transmission is a rebranding of the Lambo E-Gear. Its not German but Italian.

having toured Quattro GmbH and the LMS factory on my last trip, the transmissions are the same in the V10 R8 and the LP560... named different, different tuning but exactly the same...

and the radio / nav unit in the R8 blows in my opinion... horrible unit...
