I wanted to determine the proper strap location and technique for securing the car for dyno testing.

Also, I assume the tray underneath gets removed for access to bars for strapping?

Please advise with photographs (if possible)

Thank you in advance. :thumbsup

There are ways to do it with the rear pan on but its easier to remove it then you have direct access to rear lower control arms to strap it down.

I'll dig thru the photos on my PC and see if I have any good pictures of my car on the dyno from the rear to highlight this for you Randy.

Randy Email me I'll illustrate this to you that way if you want

Decided to be safe, I was going up next for a dyno run at a locally reputable high end shop but in deeper discussions with the tech and owner, we agreed they were not familiar with the Ford GT, and I did not want to take any chance.

So, I did not have my car touched, or strapped down by them or dyno'ed today.

Thanks for the info Torrie!

NP!

Go see Jack at Muscle Motors in Canoga Park, he's dyno'd more FGT's than anyone on the West Coast. He's done mine several times.

If you don't want to go all the way down south to Muscle Motors just give me a call Randy. We have had a lot of GT's on our dyno and we are very comfortable with them now.

Thanks Kyle. That would definitely be easier. I also would like to get my GT oil and filter changed. Can I do that by appointment in January and just wait for it?

Yea, we can do that too. Just let me know when you'd like to come down and I will set up the appointment with our service department.

One thing to consider about the dyno testing though is that our dyno is outdoors. If it's raining, we obviously can't run it.

Randy,
Just thought I'd pipe in here as I had Stillen dyno my FGT earlier this year and they took great care in securing it down, double and triple checking everything along the way. :thumbsup

Randy,
Check out this video I took of George getting his car dyno'd at DRS a while back.

Mine's been dyno'd at three different shops, never had the pans off, FWIW.
